Hello!
I am looking for advice on where to stay if we fly into Denver and want to attend a concert at mile high stadium in June. I was looking at Hyatt at pena station since it seems close to public transit. We do not want to rent a car.
please advise!
Hi Jen - Hyatt Place Peña Station is quite far outside Denver -- it's a hotel out by Denver Airport. In general, I personally wouldn't recommend staying there unless you are really only in town for a short period and want to be near the airport. With that said, it is possible if you really have your heart set on that hotel. You can take the RTD A train into Union Station in about a half hour, and then either but you'll need to catch the last train by 12:30 am to get back the night of your concert (schedule here). But it's just a lot of back and forth in my opinion.
In a similar budget band, the SpringHill Suites Denver Downtown has the perfect location - walkable to Empower Field in under a mile, but also walkable to Larimer Square, Union Station, and all the fun in downtown Denver. You can take the A train in from DIA, then rideshare or even walk to the hotel, and then you wouldn't need a car. My sister stayed there for a concert once and loved it.
