📚 What was Your Favorite Travel Experience or Story?
Trekking in the Annapurna mountain range in Nepal was an incredible experience and something I’ll never forget. Waking up early every morning in tea houses – small hikers’ lodges – and taking in the stunning views never failed to take my breath away. Well, that and the lack of oxygen 4,000 meters above sea level! Awe-inspiring scenery aside, the locals and fellow travelers I met along the way made the experience all the more special, as did the lessons I learned about resilience and overcoming challenges.
🗺️ What’s Your #1 Expert Travel Tip?
If you’re going on a multi-destination trip or backpacking for weeks/months at a time, then pack as light as possible. Multiple or extremely heavy bags will make transiting between destinations tiring and uncomfortable. No, you don’t need four sweaters and 15 T-shirts – you can do laundry on the road! I’ve been guilty of overpacking but I’m trying to get better.
🧳 Backpack or Suitcase?
I’ve used both – it really depends on what kind of trip you are planning. If you are moving from place to place then a backpack is more convenient.
✈️ Window or Aisle Seat?
Window for short flights, aisle for long.
