While most San Juan tours take place around the city’s streets, this one takes you to a famous San Juan beach, Escambron Beach, which I personally consider one of the best parts of the city.

Escambron Beach offers beach fans an underwater world of manmade reefs, seagrass fields, and even an underwater museum known as Atlantis. You might even get to see sea turtles!

The Casa Bacardi Distillery is considered the largest rum distillery in the world, and it’s one of the most popular San Juan excursions.

If you’re short on time but want to visit multiple destinations in one trip, then this is one of the best San Juan tours you can take.

You don’t have to visit El Yunque to enjoy the best of Puerto Rico’s waterfalls. With this Jerry’s Adventures tour, you’ll visit a hidden waterfall in Bayamón, just 45 minutes from San Juan.

As a Puerto Rico local, I can’t imagine experiencing something more local than the Pork Highway.

One of my favorite things about this neighborhood is Calle Cerra, which is filled with street art created during the Santurce es Ley Festival. 

As a street art lover, I recommend this tour to see the murals and snap pictures with them. You’ll also visit local a beach and art gallery in Piñones.

    1. Hi Anita! That’s a great question! Unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend most of these tours and excursions if you’ll be using a walker. The city-based ones are usually long walking tours, and the others often involve rough or uneven terrain. But, out of this list, you can check out the sailing tours, such as the San Juan Bay Day Sail, the rum tours like The Barrilito Rum Factory Experience, or the Journey Through Tobacco Traditions tour.
