Cueva del Indio is by far one of the best caves in Puerto Rico, but it’s also one of the best free sites to visit in the archipelago. This Tourism Family tour guides you and is the best way to see the cave safely and with ease. Plus, you’ll get an interpretative tour guide that explains the origin and meaning behind the petroglyphs on the cave’s walls, one of the best indigenous sites.

If it’s your first time, you might get lost or feel a bit uneasy navigating on your own, which is why I recommend joining the Puerto Rico as a Local tour to visit the Arenales Cave.
Inside, you’ll find smooth, rounded rock formations that look straight out of a sci-fi movie set. And the best part? Floating beneath these otherworldly shapes in the brilliant blue waters of Charco Azul.
