But 2022’s summer could be the biggest one yet for travel within the United States, and we’re here to help you experience the absolute best of it.

In celebration of the start of summer, our team came together to highlight our favorite 150 things to do around the USA this summer. 2. Cruise the Million Dollar Highway

Experience amazing scenery, historic stops, and relaxing hot springs as you wind through Colorado’s San Juan Mountains.
Dating back to the 1880s, The Million Dollar Highway is part of Colorado’s iconic San Juan Skyway Scenic Byway. Here, you’ll find historic communities brought about by the mining boom era. Some are now remote ghost towns, while others were transformed into tourist destinations.
Ouray, the northern endpoint, is known for its natural hot springs, and Silverton, the southern endpoint, is famed for the Durango-Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad. The total drive is only about 24 miles long, but pack a picnic lunch and make plenty of stops along the way. Don’t forget your camera!

6. Jam Out at the Five Points Jazz Festival
Harmony, rhythm, and instrumental improv come together at this Denver festival featuring local musicians.
Though 2020’s digital broadcast was an award-winning production, Five Points Jazz Festival is returning in 2022 with live music. In response to the pandemic, the festival hosts (Denver Arts & Venues) repurposed 2021 funding to support jazz-related events in the Five Points community. This funding continues in 2022 through the Five Points Jazz Activation grant program.
